Yesterday, September 6^th, special guests celebrated the grand opening of the first Disney Baby Store at the Americana at Brand.

Guests included actress Alison Sweeny, musical guest Blue Sky Riders, and Winnie the Pooh and friends. Blue Sky Riders (Kenny Loggins, Georgia Middleman and Gary Burr) performed songs from their upcoming album as well as Kenny Logging's classic "House at Pooh Corner".

More than 20 expectant military mothers received a special magical baby shower and shopping experience at the new Disney Baby Store opening, courtesy of Disney and Operation Shower, a non-profit organization that supports military families by hosting baby showers.

"I am so happy to share this magical moment with everyone", said Actress Alison Sweeny, "especially the military families who serve our country and make us proud every day."

Bob Chapek, president of Disney Consumer Products, said, "We launched the Disney Baby line to address the needs of moms looking for superior baby products that also help them celebrate the joys of being new parents".

Disney Baby Store and DisneyBaby.com's goal is to help parents in "creating magical moments right from the start™." The website is very user friendly and offers some great additional features, including mom blogs and a "Disney Baby Magical Moments" tab, where families can upload photos and stories of their babies.

All Disney Baby products will also be available at Disney Stores locations nationwide as well as online at www.DisneyStore.com/disneybaby. An assortment of Disney Baby products will also be available at national retailers such as Babies R Us, Sears, Target, Kmart, Walmart and Amazon.

A Disney Baby Public Celebration will take place Saturday Sept 8^th, starting with the ribbon cutting at 10am, and a photo opportunity with Winnie the Pooh and friends from 12-4pm (bring your camera!).  The first 100 babies will receive Disney Baby Mickey Mouse ears!
