Bambi 2 begins precisely when the little fellow has just lost his mother. His father takes him under his care, although he informs the owl to be on the lookout for a doe to raise his son. In the meantime, little Bambi is under the watchful eye of his father, The Great Prince.

The Great Prince instructs his son how to be a prince of the forest, but Bambi is still too young to grasp everything and wants to play with his friends Thumper and Flower. And speaking of Thumper, he wants nothing more than to escape from his sisters and play with Bambi and Flower. 

While Bambi is being schooled in how to be a prince, he and his father form a bond which is strange to the older deer. He has never felt any fatherly feelings but Bambi changes all of that.

The story was not only emotionally touching but also introduced several unforgettable characters. Bambi 2 fills in a big gap in the original story, which left out the time in Bambi's life when he lived with his father. This sequel brings back all the fun and sensitivity of the first film with the same delightful characters. It is just as endearing and enjoyable as the original movie. Disney knows how to produce sequels. They have proven it over and over again and Bambi II is no exception.
